GICA: Blog Setup
As a child, I have always been good with technology. Whether it be an ipod, camera, or just a desktop. I loved taking pictures, listening to music, and recording videos. I also had a MySpace and not long after that a Facebook. So I Felt I was pretty up to date with everything. I always felt like it was much easier/simpler to use technology opposed to the old school ways of doing things. It was always a huge part of my life though, because I grew up around it and it is now but I'm not always familiar with how to operate the new technology and how it all works.
Now I feel like technology has advanced so much to the point where I either get left behind or just extremely confused about how to operate it. Therefore I hope to learn all about how to operate and manage nowadays technology and systems. I also want to know all about the technology in the teacher systems because one day I hope to become a teacher. A kindergarten teacher.
I understand. It is easy to get left behind because of how quickly technology can advance. I thought I was good with technology before I started my Ph.D. However through my course work and research, I realized that there was so much I did not know. I have already learned so much, with so much more to come. We will all be learning together this semester. It is going to be great!
